We are delighted to see that those lovely chaps at Coda_Belfast are gearing up for another night of fat ass loops that feature in some of the finest, proper techno known to man (and woman)
This time around they’ve drafted in the services of Italy’s brilliant Alarico, founder of Katana Records and artist for stacks of other top quality labels.
Belfast needs this night badly and I think that all proper techno enthusiasts should support these guys by popping down and jumping around for a while.
Globetrotting DJ, superstar producer and general music royalty Calvin Harris has shared the first two tracks from his new project, 'CP-1' and 'Hypnagogic. Citing Paul Woolford / Special Request as a main influence whilst speaking to Annie Mac a couple of days ago.
Speaking about his latest project, Harris said: "'Hypnagogic (I Can’t Wait)' and ‘CP-1’ are the first tracks from my new project Love Regenerator “I wanted to rediscover the way I originally began producing music 22 years ago before I ever thought about how it might be perceived by outside forces. Just pure fun and experimentation with what sounded good to me. The records are inspired by early rave, breaks, techno and house, the music I was obsessed with growing up. In fact, I’ve done everything I can to make them sound like they’ve come from a 1991 time capsule. Every synth and sound used is from that time period."
A new edition of the lead single from his second album 'Ready For The Weekend' was released in April 2019, and featured remixes from CamelPhat and Thomas Schumacher. This new Love Regenerator project has already been receiving rave reviews across the globe, as well as some scoffing from the self appointed Techno police.
Listen to both tracks, and watch the video for 'CP-1', below. Make up your own mind.

Less than a week after his memorable live set at AVA’s Beck’s Stage, Dutch star Fatima Yamaha – known to his family as Bas Bron – has announced his return to Belfast.
No doubt impressed by the reception he received from the famously up-for-it Belfast audience – who helped soundtrack a special Friday night sunset with a vigorous singalong to his anthem ‘What’s A Girl To Do’ – the Amsterdam resident will return to the city to play the Limelight on Fri, 2nd October.
Tickets are available from shine.net, and will be priced at £16.
