Space Returns To Belfast

This Saturday marks the return of legendary Belfast club night Space. The night which closed its doors 20 years ago has been resurrected by the original promoters and is dropping anchor at the highly regarded Palm House venue in Bankmore Square, a venue which previously housed The Chicago Pizza Pie Factory and more recently Stiff Kitten.

The team have drafted in Gatecrasher legend Scott Bond to headline the evening and Cool FMs Mark Wesley, original residents Darryl, Manning and Eddie B provide the support.

To mark the return and as a taster to wet your appetite the resident DJs will be playing a set LIVE at Belfast Underground from 12pm - 2pm, which will as always be broadcast live on our website and via the Space Facebook page.

AVA Castle Party is back again this Saturday, 14th September and are ready to close out an excellent summer in proper style. This time the guys are bringing a very special crew of Boiler Room, Brame & Hamo, GiGi FM, Twitch Belfast+ more.

As always the full AVA production will be utilised, alongside street food + bespoke chill zone.

Korova presents: Simple Symmetry

Saturday September 14th, the Korova guys bring Simply Symmetry (Disco Halal / Multi Culti / Correspondant) to The Menagerie for their Irish debut.

The family duo Simple Symmetry have been bringing a noteworthy level of electronic mysticism to Moscow’s emerging dance music scene. Born and raised in the Russian capital, brothers Sasha and Sergey Lipsky’s consistently lock down and develop their ascetic and psychedelic style with a method of melodic expression that is all their own.

Also featuring on the night, Korova resident, Syrag, on support.

Stereo Does Disco, Thompsons

The Stereo Sessionscrew take on a disco twist this Saturday at the legendary Belfast venue with local heroes Hijaxxand Ubblahkanjoining forces in the club to serve up uplifting vocal & funkified House tracks with classic and contemporary Disco cuts. Belfast’s B-Sidecrew make their Stereo Sessions debut, dropping deep beats on the Thompsons Terrace!

Space Presents Scott Bond

Legendary Belfast club night Space returns after near 20 years. This Saturday the original team drop into the Palm House with Gatecrasher hero Scott Bond, Cool FM’s Mark Wesley and not forgetting Space & Snafu head honcho Darryl. Manning and Eddie B, original space residents will also help to bring back the memories of these iconic nights

BEATS FOR CULL AT MARCUS WARD AND BELFAST UNDERGROUND

Sunday 4th Aug 2019 will see a host of Belfast's finest DJ's take to the decks of The Marcus Ward for a night of top drawer tune selection and celebration of the life of Michael "Cull" Cullen.

On the lead up to the event, Belfast Underground shall be hosting 3 DJ shows from some of the headline artists on the bill. Further details to come early next week.

Michael Cullen tragically took his own life in January 2018, aged just 33. His talent and good spirit touched the hearts of a vast community of music and arts lovers across Ireland, he is sorely missed by everyone who knew him.

New kid on the Belfast techno block Hezziane stormed the world's record shelves last year with the complete acid weapon that was Acid Plate Vol 1. Belfast Underground alone sold a truckload of these quirky purple vinyl gems in-store and just kept reordering and reordering.

Belfast Underground's rapidly growing local artist department is proud to welcome the brilliant Belfast based Post-Grunge / Rock Band PLAGUE ARTISTS to its bulging retail racks. These guys formed in 2012 and their story so far is one of passion, perseverance and an immensely talented band beginning to get its just rewards.

It hasn’t happened overnight for the lads– the four-piece all live in different towns outside Belfast, but they were brought together by a shared love of grunge and a desire to push the genre as far as it can go. And their 2015 EP What Floats Like Flies is evidence of their massive potential. On those five songs you can hear the bluesy grit of Alice And Chains, the full-throated passion of Pearl Jam and the dark heart of Soundgarden, channelled via some sharp songwriting and the distinctive delivery of frontman Jamie. But there's an adventurous, technical side to these four musicians too, equally inspired by the maverick tendencies of Faith No More and the progressive spirit of Tool. When everything comes together, it makes for a potent, and immensely promising, combination.

and recording artists a chance to showcase their music on prime retail shelf space and sell to the public on either CD or vinyl. We feel that the sales presence for local artists on record stores shelves has dwindled in recent years and we wish to slowly change that.
